KindArt
Using art as a pathway to self-awareness & emotional health.
Students will color in each section of the Enoughie Toolbox with a color they believe represents that emotion, followed by an opportunity to share their color choices and reasonings at the end. Different opinions encouraged
Students will illustrate a blank face using two different colors for each half: one side showing a positive emotion they've experienced and the other showing a negative emotion they've experienced . The students may label each of the 2 blanks with a specific positive and negative emotion word
Students will create a craft inspired by the Maya Angelou quote, "Be a rainbow in someone else's cloud". The craft is an emotional regulation tool that students can use around the classroom: a "take one" style rainbow with empathetic messages written on the rainbow strips.
Students will learn about 'community' and will work together to create one large piece of artwork on a piece of cardboard by tracing their overlapping footprints and painting in the sections with colors of their choice.
