We welcome both professional bakers and amateur (home) bakers to apply. One of the things that makes the Kind Cookie Competition so special is the mix of creativity, talent, and personal stories shared throughout the event.

The 2026 Kind Cookie Competition will take place on September 26, 2026, at LZR in Austin, Texas. Additional event details and updates will continue to be shared as planning progresses.

We welcome all cookie styles, flavors, and creative approaches. Bakers will be asked to share basic details about their cookie, including flavor profile and allergen information, as part of the application process.

Winners are selected by a panel of judges during a live judging experience that celebrates not only creativity and flavor but also the stories and inspiration behind each cookie.
Both amateur and professional bakers will briefly introduce themselves and share the meaning or inspiration behind their creation before judging begins.

Bakers should expect to provide enough bite-sized tasting samples for a large community tasting event of approximately 200 guests. Final sample guidance will be shared with selected bakers closer to the event.

Yes. The event may include photography, video, and media coverage. Bakers may also be featured on The Kindness Campaign’s website and social media channels.

Once the interest form is live and applications are reviewed, selected bakers will receive a Baker Acceptance & Next Steps Guide with additional event details, timelines, and expectations.
